The Sentinel II cover depicts what Syd described as a "biomorph vehicle arriving on a resort reception stage", one of his signature optimistic futures with sleek personal transport, people in elegant uniforms, distant megastructures and architectural forms that blend functionality with beauty. The figure in red serves as official greeter, while a deeper dive into the archive revealed Syd's description of the creature in the foreground: a "wide-tarsal equiline, custom engineered by Dnomics, Lucerne" the kind of playful detail that made his worlds feel lived-in and real.
